Refreshments at fundraising events
There can be very few fundraising events which don't include refreshments. Apart from making the event more enjoyable for those attending, refreshments
can add significantly to the funds you raise.
Preparing and serving refreshments can be daunting: there's a big difference between doing a few cups of tea and a complete buffet supper - or a barbecue at a fete or fair.
This series of information pages looks at the pro's and con's of bringing in outside caterers or doing the catering yourself - and, if you are "self-catering", there are some tips about what to serve, and food safety.
At some fundraising events, there are usually alcoholic drinks as well - like the beer tent at a fete or fair. And there are a lot of other fundraising events where having a glass of wine or beer will add to the conviviality of the occasion, and help you raise more funds.

You'll also find information about the ways in which you can legally have alcoholic drinks at your fundraising event, including the scope for doing your own licensed bar.
